Safety and health go hand in hand. Momentum Academy has recently implemented new safety procedures and cleaning protocols recommended by the CDC to keep you, your family and our staff healthy.

  • As spots are limited, we ask that our students book their class before arriving. Last minute spots may be open, but it is preferable to call ahead to make sure there is space available.

  • Arrive 15 minutes prior to class start time to ensure enough time for checking in (see step-by-step procedures below).

  • Students will be asked to wash their hands before class.

  • Bring a water bottle, as our water fountains will no longer be available.

  • Masks are not required during class time, but are required for check-in and waiting time. Masks will not be provided, and will need to be brought from home.

  • We encourage students to arrive already dressed, prepared for class and to leave their belongings (extra clothes, etc.) at home or with their parents.

  • If students must keep their things with them, they should use a cubbie specially designated for students.

  • Adults are expected to keep 6 feet of social distance between others.  If they wish to watch their child(ren)'s class, parents may choose our outside seating, placed 6 feet apart to ensure social distance as per CDC guidelines and are required to wear a mask for the whole class.

  • There will be no indoor seating.

  • All staff members will answer health related questions as well as have their temperature checked upon arrival. If the coach has a fever or is sick in any way, they will be sent home.

  • Coaches will check equipment to ensure it is all safe and clean before students arrive.

  • Coaches are required to wear a mask at all times when they are teaching and/or interacting with parents and students.

  • Coaches will be washing their hands thoroughly in between each class.

  • They will also spend time disinfecting and cleaning all of the equipment used during their session and will set everything back up, clean before the next group of students arrives.

  • Once you arrive at Momentum, please find a place to park and maintain appropriate social distancing in the parking lot if possible.

  • Everyone will enter the facility through the garage door located at the back of the building. Please respect a safe distance while going through the check-in process.

  • At the door, staff (wearing masks) will meet the students and a parent (if the student is a minor) to go through a temperature scan and health questions. If anyone has a fever of 100.4  degrees or higher, or comes to the gym sick, they will be sent home immediately. Students who have a cough or show any signs of illness whether related to allergies or illness will not be allowed to participate.

  • Parents or adult students are required to notify Momentum if any family members have been exposed to or have been diagnosed with Covid-19 or are exhibiting symptoms such as cough, fever, chills, etc.  In that case, students will not be allowed to participate to class until a 2-week quarantine period is completed.

  • At this time anyone, who hasn’t already done so in their Jackrabbit account, will sign a new waiver specifically pertaining to viruses and illness.

  • Once the student is able to come in, they should give all of their belongings, except their water bottles and mask, to their parent/guardian.

  • Students will enter the studio to wash their hands thoroughly. Safe social distance markings will be indicated on the floor.

  • Students will follow the instructions provided by Momentum staff to safely get ready to start the class.

  • One parent/guardian per family may find a place to sit, in one of the designated parent seating areas outside, maintaining a 6-foot distance between each person. We ask that chairs are not moved from where they are placed and masks be worn.

  • All equipment will be disinfected immediately following its use by one group, to ensure that it is clean and ready for the next group to use.

  • During this time, coaches will minimize spotting in an effort to keep a safe social distance, unless there is an emergency and the coach needs to make contact with the students for safety reasons.

  • Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the gym, if there is a need during classes,

  • Students will be asked to assist in the sanitation of the equipment after using the apparatus and in maintaining cleanliness in the facility.

  • Students will be dismissed through the back of the building to meet their parents or go back to their vehicle.

We want you all to understand that our coaches and everyone at our facility will make every possible effort to maintain social distancing, but that there will be times when incidental contact and less-than-prescribed physical distancing will occur.  Be aware that spotting is an essential part of circus training in order to keep students safe and to prevent injury and that Momentum coaches will be spotting their students as necessary during classes. You should be aware that it is impossible to keep individuals completely safe from exposure to Covid-19 or any other infectious diseases in an indoor training environment.

Momentum Academy's coaches and management are working hard together to implement these policies and will continue to meet and share ideas going forward.

Can't wait to see our students back in class!
